Our History

The Seed Underground is an entertainment production company that maintains a Record Label, a film, and produces events that was founded in 2015 after the passing of Ralph Cavaretta, the original founder of The Seed (Record Label) in 2011. Ralph partnered with Bill Kraemer in 2011 to run The Seed while he was running Pop Rox, his own ElectroHouse label. He knew that for a Techno driven label, he wanted his old mentor from the 90’s to be the label head. After Ralph’s tragic passing, it was Bill Kraemer who reformed the Label and expanded the scope of the business since then. Today with the scope of the artistic ideas that encompass the world of The Seed Underground, Josh Holiday has been tapped as co-owner and manager of The Seed.

Our Future

As The Seed Underground works towards the future, we are focused on growing our presence in the Techno world, making films, and producing events. In our yearly festival, Sun & Stone, we partner with Solar SoundsystemNYC, and Extraordinary Entertainment to throw a yearly festival. Sun & Stone is a benefit for the Century House Historical Society that maintains the Widow Jane Mine, a former cement mine with a stage that sits on the shore of an underground lake. Our first short film is already an award winner in this pandemic year, and we look forward to more films.

Our Motto

The Seed must grow.
