Sun and Stone 2021 with Joeski & Mike Dearborn
September 25, 2021
The Widow Jane Mine
Sun & Stone 2021 is happening on Saturday September 25th on the grounds of the Snyder Estate, including the world famous Widow Jane Mine. In this Pandemic recovery year we are still putting together a top notch production, with fantastic performers that will rock the house. Sun & Stone is most importantly a benefit for the organization that maintains the Estate, and records the history of the Rosendale Cement District. You can also become a member of The Century House Historical Society and be a part of conserving the site. Sun & Stone returns to the Widow Jane Mine for another September to remember. The Seed, Solar Dawn, and Extraordinary Entertainment are upping the ante in 2021 bringing a higher level of production, and a higher level of talent into the Widow Jane than has ever performed there before. The quality of performers that we’re bringing in this year to headline the show will make the Earth shake.
As usual with the Sun & Stone benefit for the Widow Jane Mine it is a limited number of tickets that are available for the event, and this year we will be releasing just 500 tickets for the show, so the only way to be sure of entry is to have an advance ticket. Tickets are on sale now. As the State adjusts it’s guidelines we will act accordingly.
Also appearing, Artemis, Bill Kraemer, Decibel Flekx, DJ Odi, Hector, Mamajuana, Jason Blackkat, Josh Holiday with vocalist Rhiannon Catalyst, Kuryente, Lady Cherelle, Mike Dizzy, Scanner Darkly, Serious Lee, Sgt. Wilkz, Spin D
Is there parking?
Yes, we are allowing parking on site for this year's event and have redesigned the use of the Estate to best suit all of our attendees with a closer to the Mine handicapped parking area designated as well. It's $10 for a parking permit, and we encourage car pooling.
Can I bring food and drink?
Yes, but no glass bottles please. We do expect to have food vendors again this year, but we're not going to force you to choose whatever, bring a sammich if you so choose.
What kind of music will there be?
Techno, House, and Drum and Bass are the primary styles you can expect to hear.
What's not allowed to bring?
Weapons, markers, roller skates (bad idea), bad vibes, illegal substances, and glass. The floor of the mine is natural cement, so keep that in mind with your phones and stuff that could break if you drop it.
What about Covid?
Update as of September 12th, If you are vaccinated you are free to come however you like, but we suggest wearing a mask, if you are unvaccinated, you must wear a mask. Everybody please socially distance. We will follow all local, county and State regulations regarding public health and safety and have already consulted with a Covid compliance official in Ulster County. We will update this answer the week of the event with the current Ulster County NY regulations for the show. We have consulted with Covid compliance safety officers as well.
What is this a benefit for?
The Century House Historical Society is a not for profit that maintains and restores the Century House, the Widow Jane Mine, and the rest of the buildings on the 18 acre Snyder Estate property. During the spring to fall season the CHHS maintains a museum and has a member of the board on site every Sunday to give explanations of the local history and specifically the history of the Snyder Estate itself. Sun & Stone is making a significant contribution to the CHHS of $25 to $35 per ticket sold, and this event could be the site's biggest fund raiser.
